On this day more than 90 countries lost citizens in the attacks
- 6,000+ injured
- 2,977 people were killed
- 2,606 in the World Trade Center
- 246 on the four planes
- 125 at the Pentagon
- 72 Law Enforcement Officers
- 55 Military Personnel
- 344 Firefighters
And the Death toll continues to rise due to exposure at ground zero.
Listen to the sound of all of the firefighters who died that day. The “chirping sound” is a built in safety in our gear to indicate a firefighter who is not moving and may have not reported in. For every chirp is a firefighter down.
The metamorphosis is not as beautiful as a Monarch but is nearly as comprehensive.
