All posts for the month May, 2018

We regret to inform you that one of our past members James (Jim) Cerveny passed Thursday 5/24.

Jim was a valued member and Firefighter of the Jefferson Monroe Fire Department (Swisher) from 1980 – 1994. He served as secretary and treasurer from 1985 – 1989.

We extend our deepest sympathies to his family and friends. His fire family misses him but his contributions and efforts live on through our community.

Rest peacefully brother you have served us all well!

This day we remember those who have laid down their lives in battle.

We lower our flag to half mast to honor those before us.

We raise our flag from midday to sunset to honor those living who watched their brothers and sisters fall.
